Saint Aloysius School...

Built in 1882, Saint Aloysius Catholic School is the oldest, continuously run, Catholic school in the Fort Wayne-South Bend Diocese. 

Over 120 years of education and tradition are now the foundation for excellence.  Strong Catholic values such as morality and integrity coupled with high academic achievement are the cornerstone of our foundation.  From that foundation we continue to build a new sense of excellence. 

Religious Education

At Saint Aloysius School, children learn about God and how to practice His teachings daily.  Students participate in weekly Mass, religious instruction, and daily prayer in preparation for their continued growth as Children of God.

Excellent Academics

Believing that all persons are equal in God's eyes, every student at Saint Aloysius is given equal opportunity to fulfill his or her potential.  With an average class size of 10, students receive extra attention from teachers, staff and peers in all academic areas including art, music, and physical education.  High scores on standardized tests and academic success later in high school are evidence that our efforts are  paying off. 

Extracurricular Activities

To balance our academics, students are offered opportunities to participate in several extracurricular activities such as the Children's Choir and Boy Scouts.  Also, starting in fourth grade, children may compete in C.Y.O. sporting events such as football, basketball, volleyball, softball, soccer and cheerleading.

• A child does not need to be Catholic to attend our school.  If you are a parent committed to giving your child the best possible start to a bright future, then your child is eligible to attend Saint Aloysius Catholic School.
• St. Aloysius is conveniently located on Bluffton Road one minute south of 469.  So close to 469, Our church and school are just minutes from everywhere.  Traveling south on Bluffton Road (State Rd. 1), the school is on the left hand side.  We are located about ten minutes from Waynedale and fifteen minutes from Ossian.
